Located at 611 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, NY 12110, we serve dinner Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

We also serve Nabeyaki udon – a soup of noodles in chicken stock with crab sticks, chicken, Japanese fish cake, poached egg and two pieces of our shrimp tempura.

Right in front of you, a chef will cook up hibachi combos of filet mignon, shrimp, scallop, lobster, salmon and chicken. The sake deluxe combines filet mignon, lobster, scallops and shrimp. Your exquisite meal begins with clear soup, green salad, shrimp appetizer, vegetables, noodles and fried or white rice.

We were impressed with the decor - very high end wood working, fixtures, and furniture. We sat in the bar/lounge area. The table top looked like Imperial Danby marble from Vermont. You should know that I have spent a great deal of time in Japan, having the world's best Sushi, so my wife and I are a bit fussy when it comes to quality, but first things first. We started off with drinks. Four of us went on Monday during Happy Hour. The drinks were great. They have a $5 special on Martinis. We tried 5 different ones (between 3 of us). We also had 4 servings of Sake with our sushi. One person ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer, and the Chicken Katsu for his meal. It was very, very good. The rest of us ordered sushi. We ordered a large platter ala carte, totaling about 26 pieces, as well as a spider crab roll and a "Sake" roll. the only thing we changed on the Sake roll was to delete the Miso sauce and substitute the eel sauce. The service from Wiki, our waitress and bartender, was exceptional. The quality of the sushi was very good - better than any sushi we have had for the past year or more. The total for the meal, appetizers, and drinks came to $50 per person - a fair price considering the amount of sushi and drinks we consumed. All in all, we were very happy. I will definitely return, as this is our new favorite sushi place :) As for the person that complained about the wait for a party of 11 or 12 people, I can understand your frustrations, but life does not always go the way we plan. I suggest you give them another chance. Their website explicitly states that they do not take reservations, but rather put you on an advanced waiting list for seating. Even if they did take reservations, surely you can understand that even the best laid plans don't always work out. give them a try again, and please let us know how it goes. We arrived 10 min early on 5/15 and were told the people ahead of us were late so we had no habachi table. We were told we could wait for them to get done or have a large table. With ninepeople and two small children we could not wait for a large group to finish. The gentlement talking to us really didn't care. I thought he ruined my birthday and my families night out but thank to Koto we had a wonderful time. Will tell all my friends NEVER to go to Sake. In my over 50 ears in the Latham area I have never been treated so poorly. Cons: My daughter made areservation for mybirthday two weeks in advance. When we showed up on 5/15 we were told the party ahead of us was running late so we had no hibachi table for us. The man who talked to us really didn't care. Offered us a big table or said we could wait for the others to get done. There were 9 of us with two small children how could we wait for a large group to get done. In all my 50 plus years of lving in the Latham area I have never been treated so poorly.
